Vanacore Napoli bespoke shirt with Canclini fabric.

–Hello guys, today I want to show you some shots of bespoke shirt processing, commissioned three weeks ago at Vanacore, Neapolitan shirt-maker; using a Canclini “Rotschield 200/2” fabric.

Vanacore is located in Portici, in my country; is a reality that still small and young but boasts collaborations with large commercial giants of the eastern world. It composed of workers from better shirt factories that have made the history of the “Neapolitan shirt”.

Regarding the shirt: the measurement was carried out about 3 weeks ago, starting with a base 37 and going to make appropriate modifications then returning them on paper pattern. The fit is typical of a Vanacore shirt or “SN” which turns out to be closer to 6 cm compared to a 37 “DR” (regular), presenting the seam shoulder-sleeve slightly higher than usual, to put in out the head of the shoulder. I preferred with “mappina” sleeve but not excessively, the neck is to “free sail”, or intelato and the seam of the sleeve is offset with respect to that of the front since the sleeve is sewn to the “closed left”, and then hand stitched. The back is smooth and doesn’t have the front fintone. The fabric is washed before being used with special soaps to avoid future constrictions.

The finished garment has, as usual, 9 HandMade steps:buttonhole, button, collar, mouche, sleeve gauntlet , the yoke, cuff, the placket, harmole.

For a very good head of a craft, you also need a very good fabric, in this case is a “Rotshield 200/2” Canclini, chiselled, which has a very soft feel and an unparalleled lightness to the head finished.

–Ciao a tutti, oggi voglio mostrarvi alcuni scatti della lavorazione di una camicia artigianale, commissionata 3 settimane fa presso la camiceria Napoletana, Vanacore; utilizzando un tessuto Canclini “Rotshield 200/2”.

La camiceria Vanacore è sita in Portici, nel mio paese; è una realtà ancora piccola e giovane che vanta però collaborazioni con grandi colossi commerciali del mondo orientale. E’ composta da operai derivanti dalle migliori camicerie che hanno fatto la storia della “camicia napoletana”.

Per quanto riguarda la camicia: la misurazione è stata effettuata circa 3 settimane fa, partendo da una base 37 e andando ad apportare le dovute modifiche riportandole poi su cartamodello. La vestibilità della mia camicia è la tipica della camiceria Vanacore ovvero: “SN” che risulta essere più stretta di 6 cm rispetto ad una 37 “DR” (regolare) , presentando la cucitura spalla/manica leggermente più alta del solito, per mettere in evidenza la testa della spalla. L’ho preferita con una manica a “mappina” ma non eccessivamente, il collo è a “vele libere”, ovvero intelato e la cucitura della manica è sfalsata rispetto a quella dei davanti poiché la manica è cucita a fianco chiuso, e poi ribattuta a mano. Il dietro della camicia è liscio e il davanti non presenta il fintone. Il tessuto viene lavato prima di essere utilizzato con saponi speciali per evitare restringimenti futuri.

Il capo finito presenta, come da tradizione, 9 passaggi a mano, quali: asola, bottone, collo, mouche, travetto al felsino, cannoncino, giromanica, collo, polso,

Per un’ottima riuscita di un capo artigianale, c’è bisogno anche di un’ottimo tessuto, in questo caso è un “Platino 200/2″ Canclini, rigato, che presenta una mano molto morbida e una leggerezza senza eguali al capo finito.
