–Hello friends, today I want to show you some shots taken a few weeks ago using old school camera and film. I was accompanied by Sartoria Ciardi who was founded by Renato Ciardi alias O’MAST, and is today run by Enzo and Roberto.

Sartoria Ciardi is full of history, it reflects true essence of Sartoria Napoletana which is highly cultural. Each piece is meticulously assembled by hand using the rules and guidelines of the tissues.

When entering their workshop, you are welcomed by a large living room which is dominated by silence and a wonderful scent, within this there are many works of art. Walking through, on the right side you will come across the test area where Renato retains some fabrics and vintage tailoring tools.

Moving further into the building you come across the laboratory where the silence is interrupted by a radio with S.S.C Napoli commentary, constantly accompanying the workers.

The Ciardi jacket is very soft (3 buttons stretch to 2), judged by Renato, a second skin; the key feature is the shoulder, “a camicia”, very low and with a little foam. The breast pocket will be a boat-shaped and the loop very simple and clean. They are also commissioned Blazers, but Enzo and Roberto, always prefer not to exceed with the details and the lapels are always modest, the buttons on the sleeve will always be 3 and patch pockets, always contained.

The cut is made entirely by hand by Enzo and in Sartoria Ciardi there aren’t patterns, every suit is hand drawn on the fabric using only the measures taken on the customer.

The Sartoria Ciardi is composed of: Renato (O’MAST), Enzo (cutter and the marking of the fabric), Roberto (clerk measures,attache to the small details and the business side) and Don Pasquale.

–Ciao amici, oggi voglio mostravi alcuni scatti effettuati alcune settimane fa, con macchina digitale e con pellicola, presso i miei amici della Sartoria Ciardi, fondata da Renato Ciardi, alias O’MAST e continuata dai suoi predecessori, Enzo e Roberto.

La Sartoria Ciardi è un luogo altamente culturale, silenzioso e ricco di storia; rispecchia la vera essenza della Sartoria Napoletana, dove ogni capo è meticolosamente assemblato a mano, rispettando i canoni e le linee dei tessuti.

Entrando ci accoglie un ampio salone, dove regnano il silenzio e un gran profumo; all’interno di questo possiamo trovare numerose opere d’arte. Spostandoci verso destra troviamo l’area prove, dove Renato conserva, anche, alcuni tessuti e attrezzi sartoriali, vintage.

Scendendo nel laboratorio, il silenzio viene interrotto da una radio che trasmette i commenti delle varie partite giocate dal Napoli, accompagnando costantemente il lavoro degl’operai.

La giacca Ciardi è una giacca molto morbida (3 bottoni stirata a 2), Renato la giudica una seconda pelle; la caratteristica fondamentale è la spalla, a camicia, molto bassa e con pochissima spallina. Il taschino sarà a barchetta e l’asola molto semplice e pulita. Sono commissionate anche giacche molto sportive, ma Enzo e Roberto, preferisco sempre non eccedere con i dettagli e quindi i baveri saranno sempre modesti i bottoni sulla manica saranno sempre 3 e le tasche applicate a toppa, sempre contenute.

Il taglio viene effettuato totalmente a mano da Enzo e nella Sartoria Ciardi non esistono cartamodelli, ogni abito è disegnato a mano sul tessuto utilizzando esclusivamente le misure prese sul cliente.

La Sartoria Ciardi è composta da: Renato (O’MAST), Enzo (addetto al taglio e alla segnatura), Roberto (addetto alle misure, ai piccoli dettagli e alla parte commerciale) e da Don Pasquale.
